Boris Bezemer’s music strikes an expressive balance between structure and chance, the standing leg and the playing leg. Growing up in the rainy forests of Gelderland, Boris played guitar, programmed computers, and dreamed of being an inventor.

Now based in Amsterdam, they compose for a diverse range of settings, including opera, soloists, electronic music, and chamber ensembles. Surrounded by organs, orchestras, and opera, Bezemer creates music that answers the desire for the unknown: the element of strangeness so essential to romance.

Known for their ability to integrate various musical styles and electronic elements into their compositions, Bezemer creates sound worlds where multitudes flow simultaneously. With a comforting kind of turbulence, scattered voices come together into magical environments.
